Getting Things Done: How to Achieve Stress-free Productivity
(commonly abbreviated as GTD) is an action management method created by David Allen, and described in a book of the same name.
Both “Getting Things Done” and “GTD” are registered trademarks of the David Allen Company. Getting Things Done rests on the principle that a person needs to move tasks out of the mind by recording them externally.
That way, the mind is freed from the job of remembering everything that needs to be done, and can concentrate on actually performing those tasks.
The following list is a comprehensive overview of the tools, websites, blogs, and software available to help you implement Getting Things Done You can buy the book here:

Thanks for the link to Flippingheck.com – This is an excellent list with loads of sites I've not com across before – it'll take me ages to got through the ones I've not seen before! It must have taken you ages to put together and is a great GTD resource.
Thanks Once again for the link!

I am ratpoison@flickr, would be nice to be asked if pictures are used. Just wondering about renaming my picture. Credits are ok.
Nice list anyway.

Hi ratpoison – I used the photo under the Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike 2.0 Generic. I use a plugin which auto renames the photos for SEO. Apologies if I caused offence.

Another Windows app that I believe deserves mention is Tudumo – http://www.tudumo.com/
I've been using it for the past few months and prefer its simplicity to most other task managers out there.

Hey Barrett – thanks for the link. I'll add it to the list.

Like your list. Any chance that you;ll sort it into categories such as software, online, paper, etc.
I plan to rummage aroundthrough these sites in search of paper templates. One site I did not see is Fresh Focus.
John B. Kendrick on September 3rd, 2008
Wow, great list. I knew there were many GTD apps out there but that list is still surprising. My pick of the litter would be Nozbe. I worked with a printable system, before finding an electronic application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. And another app lets me call in tasks to my GTD without any writing or typing, great for those thoughts that hit me while driving. I've written about my experiences with GTD in a blog post at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com/2008/03/27/mo... John
Fox on September 3rd, 2008
I will definitely check it out soon thanks to your goodwill and if I like it I will recommend it on my site. For a second, there it looked like a combo of Todoist and Toodledo.
I think the iPhone is currently the new Palm so I have shifted to addressing that as well. One thing I find missing for myself is the power of community in GTD. So I am creating an iPhone Community group to help with implementation. Referring to another article at GTD Times I think a can help with the movement of the elephant.
I am adding you to my blogroll.

Hi Fox – Thanks for the comment and add to your blogroll. I'm having trouble with my internet connection at the moment but as soon as normal service is resumed I'll add you to my blogroll too. I've got some great posts coming up. The next one is going to be about beliefs, values and how they can be powerful influences on our lives and help/hinder us in getting things done.
qamanager on September 6th, 2008
John – that's a wonderful GTD blog post! Thanks for the link. I used Nozbe for a while but couldn't get into it long-term. I'm starting to gravitate towards old school paper and pen!
qamanager on September 6th, 2008
Hi Currycat – nice idea about sorting these into categories, instead of just alphabetical order. I'll plan some time in to do this. Thanks about the FreshFocus reminder too. Ironically it one blog I read the most! Once I get this pesky internet connection sorted out I'll add it to the list. The lack of a reliable internet connection has confirmed my faith in good old paper and pencil.
